Privacy policy

This policy explains how the Rotary E-Club of Empowering Women & Girls ("the club", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores and shares personal information through herpowerherfuture.com and the Her Power, Her Future summit. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Who we are

The summit is run by the Rotary E-Club of Empowering Women & Girls, a Rotary club based in Australia, and hosted by the club's President, Suzanne Rath. You can contact us at [email protected].

What we collect

When you register for the summit: your first name, last name and email address.

When you buy the Her Future Pass or Her Future Pass Plus: your name, email address and the details needed to process your payment. Payments are made through our payment provider, PayPal. We do not see or store your full card or PayPal account details.

When you use the vault or the Plus community: your login details, which lessons you have viewed, and anything you post in the community.

When you apply to speak: your name, email, phone number, country, website, social media handles, profession, speaker bio, headshot, interview topics, the gift you would like to offer, the approximate size of your email list, and your answers to our other application questions.

When you book an interview: the details you enter in our booking calendar.

When you visit our website: basic technical information such as your browser type and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar tools so the site works properly and we can understand how it is used.

How we use your information

• To register you for the summit and send you interview links, reminders, speaker gifts and launch party details.
• To process your Her Future Pass purchase, give you access to the recordings, and send receipts.
• To review speaker applications, arrange interviews, and promote the summit and its speakers.
• To tell you about future club events and activities, if you have not unsubscribed.
• To meet our legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.

Speakers

If you are selected as a speaker, we will publish your name, photo, bio, profession, interview topic, gift details and website or social links on the summit website, in our emails and on social media, and we will share clips from your recorded interview. We will only do this for the purpose of promoting the summit and the club. If you are not selected, we will not publish your application.

Payments

Payments for the Her Future Pass and Her Future Pass Plus are processed by PayPal and received by the club President, Suzanne Rath, on behalf of the club. All proceeds are then transferred to the Rotary E-Club of Empowering Women & Girls. PayPal handles your payment information under its own privacy policy.

The Her Future Pass Plus community

If you join the Plus community, your name, profile photo and anything you post there, including business offers you choose to share, can be seen by other members of the community. Please only share what you are comfortable with other members seeing. We may remove posts that are unsuitable.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us run the summit, including our website, email, booking, course and community platform (FG Funnels, built on HighLevel) and our payment provider (PayPal).
• Club members who help organise the summit, where they need it to do so.
• Authorities, where we are required to by law.

Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We use reputable providers that take reasonable steps to protect personal information.

Emails and unsubscribing

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us to stop receiving messages at any time. If you unsubscribe, we may still send you essential messages about a purchase you have made.

How we protect and keep your information

We store personal information in secure, password-protected systems and limit access to the people who need it. We keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law, and then delete or de-identify it.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
